These days it is becomeing easier and easier to find fresh, local produce which is something we've all wanted for decades--even those of us who grow much of our own food.

The FARMINGTON FARMER'S MARKET, presently situated on the VFW parking lot, 842 Karsch Blvd., Farmington, MO., 63640, (phone 573-756-5876) is a great place to shop for food. Some of the growers are totally committed to organics and all of the growers we have talked with are glad to discuss their products with you. There are fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, honey, maple syrup, and more.

Their HOURS are:
WEDNESDAYS 2 PM -- 5 PM
SATURDAYS 7 AM -- 11 AM

Farmers Markets

The Southern Missouri and Northern Arkasas Ozarks have more Farmers' Markets than in the rest of both states. It is wise in these tough economic times to share our bounty, teach our neighbors and patronize thes wonderful markets all throughout the Ozarks. Many industrial "farms are going out of business because of transportation costs and unsustainable practices. Dinosaurs like Purdue and Premium Standard Farms are now a sorry history. We can help reform our food economy and do what Michele Obama has done in the White House-grown your own, teach others and enjoy good, real and organic food!
