Resource for producers / Sappington Farmers MarketResource for producers Farm To Family Naturally will be finalizing their deal on the purchase of Sappington Farmers Market in the next couple of weeks. This purchase has been delayed but the progress on sourcing and supplying the store with locally produced items has moved into high gear. We have added local soaps, beef, pork, cheese, milk, eggs, honey, fresh herbs and have commitments for grapes, blackberries and an array of fresh produce. Many of these products are already coming from the south central Ozark region and I encourage all of you to contact me with what you have or are interested in selling. We not only have the grocery store but we also have a division that delivers wholesale to restaurants, schools and hospitals significantly adding to our ability to sell and distribute local products. Farm To Family is also looking at opportunities in Springfield, Columbia and Kansas City which will only continue to increase sales opportunities as well as creating new drop points for distribution. Our goal at Farm To Family is to help farmers and producers to market their products. We have or are making arrangements to be able to supply packaging materials, labels, UPC #, transportation and hopefully in the future certified kitchens for value added processing.
