BLACK BEAR (Ursus Americanus)

The Black Bear is definitely returning to Missouri, and probably most if not all of those living in Missouri now have ancestral roots in Arkansas. Thank you Arkansas!
One of the reasons we live where we do (in the middle of nowhere) is for as much nature experience as possible. Several weeks ago hubby was lucky enough to see this guy wandering through, so he grabbed an old, expired-by-two-years, disposable camera, and started clicking away, catching nine shots before Smokey wandered off.
The next day after said camera was already developed, Mr. Bear returned and this time hubby grabbed a current camera, taking 17 shots, but the angle was not conducive to good lighting and none of the pics were good. In the last few moments of picture taking on day two, hubby said to the bear, through the closed window, "Hello, Mr. Bear", whereupon the bear suddenly looked up and stared a few seconds before moving away.
We have moved every possible item that might entire a bear, as we believe the old saying, "A fed bear is a dead bear". We hope to see more!
Enjoy one of the nine bear pictures hubby has taken in the wild.
