COYOTE (Canis latrans)It is great to see wildlife, even if we occasionally have differing points of view. Our orchard this year has been the feeding ground for deer, oppossums, squirrels, and raccoons, if not more, and it is our fruit trees that is the point of contention. We are not against sharing, but when wildlife literally breaks branches (deer) and eats every fruit they can hold in one evening, coming back night after night, that's when and where we draw the line. To determine what is eating the pears for example, we set up a wildlife-cam in hopes of finding the culprits. We did catch a glimpse of a beautiful coyote who wandered by around 10:14 PM moving south, then twice shortly after midnight, going north. We wish him happy hunting. At any rate, next year there will be a fence, 8-10 feet high, around the orchard, and wildlife can enjoy the wild plums, wild persimmons, pawpaws, and more, but not the planted orchard. Enjoy the coyote pictures, "glaring" eyes and all.

Very cool
Nice pictures Linda. We're on one little acre in town near the interstate, but I've found coyote scat here. Tina and I really want to get one of those wildlife cams. Last week I was in Wisconsin and followed some Gray wolf tracks up the beach on Lake Superior. That was really neat.

Great shot, Linda, our our two timing governor, who hails from the planet Tralflammador. That is our governor who promised us clean water protection to get our votes and now eats pork sandwiches with the CAFO owners at the state fair, who does nothing about Lake of the Ozarks e-coli, the bulldozing of tributaries and dumping of oil in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, who now, like his predecessor, wants to see CAFOs at the gates of our state parks! I think the glowing green eyes are telling. Definitely Tralflammador!
